We met David and Kori through other wonderful clients, Kelly and Ben. So, when they were married at Kori’s home church, Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church, we were honored to be part of it.

Here are a few favorites from their day. Thanks again David and Kori for everything!

The past few days I have been taking photos for a local dog rescue group in order to help their online adoption efforts. Brad and I fostered a wonderful Pit Bull named Angie for this rescue (and will do so again as soon as the wedding season slows down a bit!), and I truly respect their resolve to save lives of Pit Bulls and other “bully breeds.”

The sad truth is that only 1 in 600 pit bulls will find a home. There is a large misconception about the bully breeds, and Fur Kid Rescue seeks to dispel stereotypes by placing their rescued animals in exceptional homes where they can become ambassadors of their breeds.

We believe in this rescue group and fully support Jennifer’s hard work and determination to rescue adoptable dogs and place them in fantastic homes. I love this quote from Jennifer’s email signature: “We need to stop looking for scapegoats in the face of every pit bull, and look to addressing the human reasons behind the problem of dangerous dogs.”

If you know anyone who is looking for a wonderful pet or who would like to join this cause by donating or fostering, contact Jennifer at www.furkidrescue.org.

Melissa and Jon are two of my favorite people. They are such a joy to be around, and they are so wonderfully loving to each other and anyone else they meet. You might remember Melissa and Jon from their engagement session on Mt. Washington and the North Shore. They first met at a Steeler’s game, and their first home together was on Mt. Washington. So, it was only fitting that they were married on Mt. Washington at St. Mary’s on the Mount, and then we took photos down by the river on the North Shore.

Here are a few favorites from their day. Thanks again Melissa and Jon for being so wonderful. It was a joy working with you.

Shannon and Chris are Pharmacy graduates from the University of Pittsburgh. They are fun, sweet, laid-back, and very in love. Since they spent countless hours in Oakland during their graduate school years, we decided to go back there for engagement photos. We started out with some coffee and ended up riding the panther. That’s what I call a great session! :)

Their wedding is in September, so photos from their beautiful day will be coming very soon!

Brad and I so enjoyed photographing Jennifer and Jarrett’s beautiful wedding at the beautiful Assumption Church in Bellevue and Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley, PA. It was an absolutely beautiful day from start to finish, and I especially enjoyed watching how Jennifer and Jarrett were surrounded by their (huge!) wedding party, family, and friends the whole time. We could tell how loved they are by everyone around them.

Thank you, guys, for letting us be part of your special day. It was truly a grand event, and we loved every minute of it!

Here are a few favorite photos from the day!

Brandi and Brian had a beautiful summer day for their wedding and reception at Phipps Conservatory. The whole day was gorgeous from start to finish – the garden, the flowers, the family and friends, the glowing bride and groom. And, they even had an awesome robotic ring bearer (definitely a first for me to photograph!).

I want to thank my wonderful second-shooter (and friend) for many of the beautiful photos in this post. Christina totally rocked it out – check out her work here: www.christinamontemurrophotography.com

Thank you Brandi and Brian for everything. We were thrilled to be part of your beautiful day!

Elyssa and Matt had a beautiful William Penn Omni Hotel wedding in downtown Pittsburgh.

Here are a few of our favorites from their wedding day. As Matt’s dad says, “we know how to party!” And he’s right!

Thank you, Elyssa and Matt, as well as the Brent and Faigen families for your kindness and hospitality. We truly enjoyed every second of your big day. Your families and friends are amazing people, and we were fortunate to get to know them just a little bit.

And, I want to mention our wonderful third shooter who joined us for this wedding, Beth Insalaco! She provided many of these beautiful shots, and you can check out her work here: www.bethsdesignstudio.com/

This weekend, our foster dog Angie got a new outfit! Check out her “adopt me!” bandana!

Angie is a sweet, calm Pit Bull who is living with us for a little while, looking for a home. After a few weeks in our house, I can say a little bit more about her:

She loves people. She loves walks. She gets along fine with other dogs but isn’t affectionate yet (our dog Turk tries to snuggle with her and lick her face and she just ignores him). She likes swimming. She is house trained and crate trained. She loves walks. Shredded chicken is her treat of choice. She sleeps 22 hours of the day. When she’s not sleeping, she’s putting her nose in a lap for attention. She wants to be with someone at all times and will move from room to room to stay by your side. She likes having a back yard so she can lay in the grass. And have I mentioned that she loves walks?

Yep… she’s an awesome dog. If you know anyone who is looking for a new family member, contact me or Fur Kid Rescue to learn more about this sweet girl.

Brad and I just started fostering a sweet dog who is looking for a home, and I want to post photos of her here so you can spread the word to family and friends who might be looking for a new family member!

This girl’s name is Angie, and she is a super sweet, affectionate, calm American Pitt Bull Terrier who gets along wonderfully with other dogs and people of all ages! She is going to be staying with us for a little while as she waits for a new home.

We are fostering through a local rescue called Fur Kid Rescue that loves and works primarily with tough breeds – bulldogs, boxers, pit bulls, bull mastiffs, etc. We are so excited about this rescue because we love these breeds and also because the owner, Jennifer, takes great care with the dogs she’ll adopt. She does a wonderful job finding sweet, adoptable dogs that defy the traditional stereotypes of the “bully” breeds. And most importantly, she does a wonderful job finding awesome homes for them.

Anyway, here are a few photos from a trip we took today with our two boxers to a local lake to swim and relax! Angie is still timid right now, as she’s been moved around so much lately. But, she’s adjusting her temporary home, and we can’t wait to see who she’ll get to go home with!

Sofea - I gained 60 with my first!!! I wuoldn’t say that I overate I just ate too much sugar and started drinking soda because I couldn’t stand my normal morning coffee and needed a little caffeine or I got withdrawls. The sugar did not agree with me and I packed on 10 lbs each month during months 4-8 and didn’t gain any weight the last month. This time around (I’m 14 1/2 weeks) I gained a few over the holidays and a vacation before I knew I was pregnant which I, of course, was not able to lose. Since then I’ve only gained 3 lbs which I am extremely happy with. Jessica will likely learn her lesson with this pregnancy but if she is happy then everyone should leave her alone. Many women gain more than recommended without even trying. Lucky for Jessica she’ll have personal trainers and nutritionists to get her back to her normal weight once this baby arrives. If she’s like me she’ll try to curb the sugar (which sounds like her major issue) next time around and gain a normal amount. P.S. unless you’re really overweight I don’t think only gaining 10 or so lbs is that healthy either. Our bodies are definitely meant to put on a little bit extra with baby and water and all of that, so 20-25 lbs isn’t a lot it’s the lowest end of the scale for a reason.ReplyCancel

Our guest books come in many different colors and include your favorite photos from the engagement session. You can see the available colors by clicking here. The books shown here are the following colors:

red: middle earth/candyland
plum: middle earth/brandywine
green: middle earth/riverdell
