Brad and I flew to France a few weeks ago to photograph the wedding of one of the sweetest, most genuine, loving couples I have ever met: Clémentine and Dio. I have started writing this blog post multiple times, trying to accurately describe the details of the day, but each time, I delete what I’ve written for fear that it doesn’t do the day justice. Overall, I keep coming back to the simple thought that photographing a wedding in another language and culture was one of the most challenging, fun, and rewarding experiences of our career, and rather than try to put the experience into words, I am going to rely on the photos to tell the story of the day.
Clémentine and Dio, I want to thank you personally for being patient with our slow French and for completely trusting us to document your day across the cultural barrier. We could not be more grateful. J’espère que vous adorez ces photos toujours (et, j’espère que vous pouvez comprendre cela, aussi! :).
