Laura and George are two people who feel more like friends than clients. They have been in front of our cameras many times, starting with their engagement photos in Schenley Park and then their beautiful Pittsburgh Wedding at the Pittsburgh Golf Club. Now, I am absolutely thrilled to have photos not only the two of them, but a THIRD member of their family: George!!

Laura and George, thank you for allowing me to be part of the milestones in your lives. Your little man is absolutely beyond words. I was smitten.

Here are a few favorite photos. :)

As I entered Amanda’s family’s beautiful Regent Square Victorian home on the morning of her wedding, I was greeted by hugs and warm welcomes from every side. “Now, this is going to be a great day,” I thought. And, it was. From start to finish, the day was beautiful and the people were warm and welcoming. Amanda and Brian have a very special love that you feel immediately, and not just for each other but for friends and family as well.

Amanda and Brian, thank you so much for asking us to be part of your day. Here are a few favorite photos from your wedding.

The minute you meet Lauren and John, you know they are a perfect fit for each other. They are easy-going and kind, and most of all, they are totally happy and comfortable together. Their beautiful May wedding was held at St. Maurice Parish, and their reception venue was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen: the Mansion at Maple Heights. Tucked away on the streets of Shadyside, this stunning mansion is the perfect setting for a beautiful indoor/outdoor celebration.

Lauren and John, thank you for welcoming us so warmly to your wedding celebration. I will NEVER hear Thrift Shop again without thinking of you two!! haha! Here are a few favorite photos. Enjoy!

Julia and Patrick were married on a beautiful spring day at Prince of Peace Parish on 15th Street in Pittsburgh’s South Side neighborhood. And, they held their reception at one of my favorite Pittsburgh venues: the Sheraton Station Square. Afterwards, we took photos along South Side’s beautiful tree-lined streets and enjoyed the stunning view of the city from the North Shore as well!

Julia and Patrick, thank you for asking us to be part of your celebration. Here are a few of my favorite photos of the day!

And, since I know you are wondering, Julia’s beautiful makeup was done by the wonderful Joy Lager (pictured above!). It was so nice seeing you, Joy!

To say that I love dogs would be an understatement.  I have two veterinarian parents and grew up working in their small-animal hospital.  We have two slobbery boxers who add so much joy to our lives, and we even started an arm of our business focusing specifically on documenting the lives of dogs!

So, when I was contacted by Katie Preston Toepfer about publishing a photo from Ellie and Josh’s beautiful Atlanta wedding in her newest project, a beautiful hard-cover photography book entitled “Wedding Dogs: A Celebration of Holy Muttrimony”, I was absolutely thrilled to contribute to this collection and honored to be featured alongside other photographers who I greatly respect and admire!

The book will be officially released later in April, but I just received a copy in the mail and truly enjoyed looking through the photos and reading the touching stories of how dogs are truly family.  If you love dogs and weddings, you can purchase this fun, heart-touching collection of photos and stories at Amazon.com on April 16th.

Be sure to “like” the Wedding Dogs facebook page here!

Whitney and Jon were married on a beautiful, spring Atlanta day and we were so happy to be part of their celebration. Whitney and Jon live in New York City, and I was able to visit them there last year to take their engagement photos. But, their families and many friends are down south, so they planned a beautiful wedding and reception at Heritage Sandy Springs.

Whitney and Jon, it was so special to be part of your day. You two are so obviously perfect for each other, and it’s been such a joy to know you as a couple (not only as an Auburn girl). Jon, you take great care of my wonderful friend! :)

Here are some favorite photos from your day. Much love to you both!

As I pulled up at the beautiful old lodge at Lake Martin and moved in our suitcases, cameras, and dogs for the week, I knew it was going to be a truly special time. My parents, sister, brother in law, nephew, grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and their kids all drove in from different states to stay together and celebrate the wedding of my cousin Michael and his fiance Ashley. And, as we sat around the fire, took long walks by the lake, held babies, ate great food, and caught up on the past year, I was reminded that the reason weddings are so special, the reason that we all truly celebrate together, is because we all become family. And, family is truly one of the greatest blessings.

So, cheers to the wonderful new couple and to gaining a sweet, beautiful cousin. I am very honored that we were asked to document this wedding weekend. Here are some of my favorites.

Mazel Tov Michael and Ashley! We love you both.

This summer I got the sweetest email from a former wedding client of my friend Mary Schwarz, who now lives in Washington DC.  Lindsay and her husband Aaron were expecting a little girl AND that they had a very sweet dog who they wanted photographed. So, this summer we had  fun playing in their back yard with Rudy and capturing his personality. And, now, Lindsay and Aaron have welcomed sweet Phoebe into their world, and I was thrilled to be able to document this new phase as well.

Lindsay and Aaron, thanks so much for trusting me to document this wonderful time in your lives. You two are really special and I truly enjoy the time I get to spend with you. Phoebe is absolutely perfect, and I am so happy to have met her. Here are a few photos from your session. I hope you love them as much as I do. :)

And, just for laughs, Phoebe isn’t the only baby in this family. :)

There’s nothing quite as exciting as being pregnant with your first child. Everything is unknown, and there is so very much to look forward to. Rachel and Vito are expecting their first, a little boy, this March. And, it was so much fun for me to spend time in their home and NYC neighborhood to take their last photos as a family of two.

Rachel and Vito, I felt like a friend as soon as I walked through your door! And, I am so excited for you both. Your love is very sweet and natural, and I know that you are going to be wonderful parents. Hopefully I’ll get to meet the little man one day soon! :)

Here are a few favorite photos. Enjoy!

When you plan a wedding in Pennsylvania in January, you never know what type of weather you might have. Norma said from the beginning that she was praying for snow and WOW, did she receive her wish! Norma and Tim are such a special couple, and ever since getting to know them at bit at their engagement session, I was so excited to be part of their celebration.

Norma and Tim, thank you for asking us to be part of your day. Though you were married on a cold winter day, your wedding was nothing but warm from start to finish. As soon as I walked through the door and started receiving hugs and smiles, I felt more like family than your photographer. And, as a side note, your amazing pine candle has been burning in my kitchen almost non-stop since Sunday!

Here are a few favorite photos from your day. Enjoy. :)

NYC newborn photography

Hudson Lee Davis was born on September 13, 2012. A beautiful baby boy, he is sweet, happy, and easy-going. While I was there to visit with his mama, he continuously grinned and flashed me those big blue eyes. Rebecca is a childhood friend, and it has been so sweet to see her become a wife and now a beautiful mother. I was able to spend time with Rebecca and Ben last summer and take a few photos of them before Hudson entered the world. And, now, they are a sweet family of three.

Ben, I am so sorry I missed you this trip, but I look forward to seeing you next time. :)

Here are a few photos of Hudson and Rebecca.

Beth and Sam are two of my favorite people on earth. They are close friends, amazing photographers, dog lovers, birthday sharers, running buddies, the list goes on and on… They are celebrating five years of marriage next month, and we wanted to capture their life together in photos. Beth and Sam, this anniversary should truly be celebrated because through trials and happiness, you have held on to each other. I have learned so much from you both and am so happy that you’re part of my life.

Heather and Craig were married on a beautiful, sunny fall day in Pittsburgh in one of my favorite churches, St. Paul’s Cathedral. This wedding was particularly special to me because Heather’s family has become dear to my heart over the years for many, many reasons. And, Heather and Craig are two of the most giving, sweet people I have worked with.

Many congratulations to the happy couple. Enjoy a few favorite photos from this beautiful day.
