When Melissa contacted me about coming out to take photos of she and Jason with her son and dog, I was thrilled. As you know, we love dogs like crazy. And, we also love spending time with families and children.

Nina and Brian are past clients who contacted me recently with the happy news that they were having a second little boy! So… meet sweet little Sam and his big brother Jack.

Amelia turns 2!

One of the most fun parts of my job is taking photos of families over time. I have been privileged to document a few families as their children grow older (and grow in number!). And, this is one example.

Last year, we photographed Amelia around her 1-year birthday. Some photos from that session are here and here. Well, Saturday is her 2-year birthday, and look how she’s grown!

Since it’s mother’s day, I thought I’d post a surprise mother’s day session I did a few weeks ago! A sweet friend of mine was surprised today by her husband and son with updated photos of her boys. I just love this little guy.

Last week I had the sweet privilege of documenting the 1st birthday party of two sweet, wonderful twins: Madelyn and Nolan. These are two of the sweetest, snuggliest, happiest 1-year-olds I have ever met, and they were surrounded by family as they opened gifts, blew out candles, and ate birthday cake.

Thank you, Jessica and Brian, for welcoming me into your home for this special event. I was truly amazed by the love and kindness of your family.

Snowy Wedding Photos: Betsey and Matt

Now that all the snow has melted in Pittsburgh and life is back to normal, I want to post some white, white photos from one of my two sessions in Frick Park a few weeks ago!

When I sent out the call for couples to join me in the snowy park, Betsey and Matt were the first to respond! Betsey and Matt (and their sweet daughter Lillian) are friends of ours from church, and though they were married years ago, they still had their wedding outfits (and fit into them perfectly – hey, that’s pretty impressive!!) Not sure I could say the same! :)

Pittsburgh Child Photography: Meet Claire!

Claire Poppert is a precious 3-month old that I had the pleasure of photographing while visiting Washington D.C. last weekend. Her mom and dad, Kate and Dave, are related to Eva and John, whose wedding we photographed last December. And, we were thrilled when they asked us to come out to photograph their little one.

This session was such a pleasure for me. Not only was Claire sweet and pleasant the whole time. Okay, okay… almost the whole time. We did have a few small fits! :) But also, her sweet mama made all sorts of delicious cookies and cake bars for us to take home. I mean, amazing!
