I totally love the Mitchell family. Last year, I got to spend time with them doing a day in the life session in their home, and this year we decided to meet in Frick Park for some beautiful fall photos of the 4 of them together.

Mary is Pregnant! Strip District Maternity Photos

I am proud to say that I was actually the first person in the world to know that Mary was pregnant. That is, besides Mary, of course! We were staying in England this spring when Mary came into my bedroom late at night with a pregnancy test and a big smile. We hugged and quietly squealed and the next morning she called Jay to tell him the news. Ever since then, she and Jay have been planning for the future with their little blessing.

Mary and Jay, you both are really special to me and I couldn’t be more excited for you. Astin, I hope your world isn’t turned upside down TOO much this January! :)

I love watching couples move from two people who met, fell in love, and decided to get married to a unit of three who loves and appreciates the blessing of family. I photographed Jenn and Todd’s wedding two years ago, and I was so excited to hear that they were expecting sweet Nathan this spring. Here are a few favorite photos from their session!

Cancun Portrait Session | Krisan and Casey

These two people are some of my very favorites in the world… meet my wonderful sister Krisan and brother-in-law Casey! While on vacation in Cancun a few weeks ago, I talked to them about having some updated photos done and they were thrilled to wander around with me one evening and play with shadows and light.

Krisan and Casey live in Auburn and will be celebrating their 3-year anniversary in a few weeks. I love these two with all my heart and only wish we had more time with them.

Family Session: The Mitchells

It’s rare to meet a family so head-over-heels in love with each other, but that is the only way I can describe the Mitchell family! Tana and Justin are crazy about each other and in love with their two kids, Ella and Jake, and I was lucky enough to hang out with them to document this stage in their lives.

One of my favorite places to photograph a family is in their home; at home, families can play and snuggle and be themselves while I capture that natural interaction. So, for this session, we started out at home and then went to downtown Pittsburgh to bundle up and enjoy the cold weather! Enjoy a few of my favorites from this session:

Johanna and Chad | Mellon Park Family Photos

I met Johanna and Chad and their 5 children last week at Mellon Park for some updated family photos! They live in Garfield and pastor a church in the neighborhood, and I loved hearing a little of their story and documenting their family in this stage of life.

Anabelle Hall | Memphis Newborn Photos

I am so very excited because I get to show photos of one of my best friend’s babies!! Elizabeth Ann was my college roomate my freshman year at Auburn University. We had met once before we moved into a tiny room in the dorm called Owen Hall, and though I was from Florida and she was from Alabama, she soon felt like a sister to me.

Well, 10 years after moving in with Elizabeth Anne, I was fortunate enough to fly to Memphis, TN to take newborn photos for her and her husband Justin.

So, introducting Anabelle Hall. She’s beautiful, calm, sweet, and has a FULL head of hair!

Stephanie is a senior at Ringgold high school this year!

Steph is a beautiful, athletic, sweet girl who loves the city and wants to be a Pharmacist. So, for her senior portrait session we decided to head to the North Shore with the amazing skyline behind us and have some fun with a Chemistry book, high heels, and her letter jacket!
